This isn't the first time I've mentioned the up and coming Northern Irish trio and it certainly won't be the last. Building on the success of their debut album, 'Tourist History', which catapulted them onto the indie music scene in 2010, the recent outing of their new album, 'Beacon', has sparked a frenzy amongst their huge online following (the Basement People). In a dazzling eleven-strong album, perhaps some of the band's finest work to date, one track that particularly caught my attention was 'Handshake'. As the second track on the record, it really does set the standard for the rest of the album, kicked off with one of the band's signature euphoric electro-infused guitar riffs and soft dulcet tones from frontman, Alex Trimble. I can honestly say that this band makes me really excited. Their innovative new sound and captivating lyrics are so incredibly promising and I really felt that this gem was worthy of Song Of The Day. With the launch of their new tour, if Two Door Cinema Club keep up this standard, 'the sky is the limit' would be a feeble choice of words as far as their future is concerned...
